This right here is a mind blower and will serve as a poignant counterpoint next time I get frustrated and wish that the internet had never been invented. Apparently someone has unearthed a 35 track compilation of early works by Virginia’s own Bassment Crew/Swing Mob, the early 90’s Collective that consisted of Timbaland, Missy Elliot, Static Major, Ginuwine, Magoo, Tweet, Devante Swing and others. From the sound of this Beautifully Lo-Fi Compilation (ripped directly from cassette) it’s clear that Da Bassment Crew were more than a Production/Song writing group, they operated as an incubator for the future of R&B. Enjoy :-)
